Sean Arata was born and raised in Fort Wayne and is a proud graduate of South Side High School. He attended Indiana University and received a degree in Journalism. He then went on to the University of Oregon to obtain his law degree, where he was the graduation speaker for his class. Sean was admitted to practice law in Indiana in 2018.

He has spent his entire career focused on criminal defense. He has handled thousands of criminal cases, ranging from petty to major crimes. He previously served as a public defender for 7 years in Allen County, where he handled felony drug cases, murders, and misdemeanors. He continues to handle these types of cases, and all aspects of criminal law.

Outside of law, he is heavily involved in the arts. He is a member of the band Downstait, who toured nationally for over a decade, and can be heard on Netflix, WWE, major league sports, video games and commercials around the world. He has also served as a board member locally at Arena Dinner Theatre for many years.
